Dear Parent/Carer,
I am pleased to announce our residential trips for 2024/25. We have been working hard to get our trips back up and running after COVID. We started with the Iceland trips during the Spring Term and we are now looking to ramp things up from the next academic year with four new trips.
After seeing the high demand for recent trips such as Iceland and Alton Towers we have decided to target a trip per year group. This we hope will alleviate some of the problems with demand for places on each of the trips.
The trips we will be offering out are as follows:
Year 7 (Year 8) – Disneyland Paris
Year 8 (Year 7) – Llangrannog outdoor pursuits
Year 9 (Year 10) – Italy
Year 10 (Year 9) – Skiing

The year group attached to the trip will get priority on the places available, but if there is any spare capacity then the year group in brackets will have the opportunity to fill the places. We will once again be using the Talaxy points system to determine who can attend the trips, especially trips that are oversubscribed.
If you would like your child to attend one of the trips please fill in the form on Talaxy by going to https://pontcomp.talaxy.app/Home then navigate to the FORMS area on the dashboard. If you have two pupils in the school you can select the pupil from the left hand side.
They can choose up to two trips depending on what year they are in.
Year 7 & 8 can opt for Disneyland Paris and Llangrannog.
Year 9 & 10 can opt for Italy and Skiing.
As I mentioned earlier priority will be given to the year group first, so with the skiing trip, priority will be given to year 10s first and if there are any spare spaces they will be offered to year 9s who have opted for it on their form.
If you would like your child to go on a trip please fill in the form on Talaxy by 3.00 pm this Friday 15th March.
On Monday we will then be contacting parents whose child has a place on their desired trip to receive a trip letter and pay the trip deposit. All deposits need to be paid by Friday 22nd March to secure a place.
