Dear Parent/Carer,

You may already be aware that Rhys Williams, a Year 11 pupil, has recently been diagnosed with an aggressive and fast-growing brain tumour. A BBC News article details Rhys’s illness, accessible here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-68390362.

In response to this, we would like to contribute to a GoFundMe page to support Rhys and his family. We understand the financial strain that can accompany such circumstances, and believe that coming together as a community can make a meaningful impact.

If you wish to contribute, you can do so directly through the GoFundMe page (see link below) or by sending in money with your child on Friday 1st March, which marks St. David’s Day.

Our Year 7 pupils will be participating in an Eisteddfod where they are encouraged to wear the colour of their house. Additionally, all other pupils are invited to wear red non-school uniform and to give a voluntary donation of £1, which we can collect, collate and send on to Rhys’s GoFundMe page, the link is below:

Please contact the school if you have any queries, your continued support is greatly appreciated.

Yours faithfully,

Mr. Gareth Rees
Headteacher
