Dear Parent/Carer,
This year we will be re-introducing Key Stage 3 examinations for all Year 9 pupils. These examinations will help to prepare pupils for sitting their GCSE examinations in Year 10 and 11. The Year 9 examinations will start on Monday 27th February and will finish on Wednesday 8th March 2023.
The attached examination timetable will help you support your child over the forthcoming weeks. Your child’s teachers will provide them with a revision list for each subject over the next few weeks. The PSE morning that was held in November focused on revision stretegies and techniques to help your child prepare for these examinations.
This is also an important term for Year 9 pupils as we approach the Year 9 options process. An options evening has been arranged for Monday 6th February at the school and a subject based parents’ evening will be held on Monday 13th March. A letter will be sent out next week to outline further detail regarding both parents’ evenings.

– Internal Examinations: Monday 27th February – Wednesday 8th March 2023

– Year 9 Options Form deadline: Wednesday 15th March 2023
– Year 9 Full Reports: Friday 12th May 2023
