RE: GCSE Summer Examinations and Assessments
Dear Parent/Carer,
I sent a letter in October to outline key dates for Year 11 pupils for the forthcoming months. We have since had confirmation of all GCSE and vocational examination dates next summer. The summer GCSE examinations will start on Tuesday 9th May and finish on Wednesday 21st June 2023. I have attached the full summer examinations timetable to this letter and have outlined some important dates below which will help you to support your child in preparation for their examinations and controlled assessments.
In January, a small number of pupils will be resitting their English Literature Unit 1 examination and all Year 11 pupils will be completing their science controlled assessment. The dates for both of these assessments are listed below.
All pupils will be issued with individual timetables, for the summer examinations, during the week beginning Monday 27th February 2023. This will be an opportunity for you to check and query any examination entries. All examination changes need to be made by Friday 10th March 2023 and any amendments after this date will incur a cost. It is vitally important that all pupils sit their examinations this summer. Therefore, any holidays will not be authorised by the school.

– GCSE English Literature Examination: Wednesday 11th January 2023
– GCSE Maths November results: Thursday 12th January 2023
– Science Practical NEA: Monday 16th to Friday 20th January 2023
– Year 11 Revision Open Evening: Wednesday 1st March 2023
– GCSE English Literature results: Thursday 9th March 2023
– Year 11 Full Reports: w/c Monday 6th February 2023
– GCSE External Examinations: Tuesday 9th May to Wednesday 21st June 2023
– GCSE Results Day: Thursday 24th August 2023
