RE: GCSE & Mock Examinations
Dear Parent/Carer,
The attached mock examination timetable and controlled assessment dates will help you support your child over the forthcoming months.
The majority of Year 11 pupils will be sitting GCSE Mathematics when they return after the autumn half-term break and a small number of pupils will be resitting GCSE English Literature examination in January (dates for both of these GCSE examinations are listed below).
To support your child in preparation for the GCSE Mathematics examinations, the Maths department will continue to provide after school revision sessions in the build up to the November examinations. The revision sessions will continue for 11PON on a Tuesday and 11TIS on a Wednesday after school. In addition to this the school has arranged for enrichment days for all Year 11 pupils on Friday 11th and Tuesday 15th November. The enrichment days will provide pupils with extra maths lessons the day before each examination to ensure they feel ready and prepared to sit their examinations.
All pupils will be issued with individual timetables, for the summer examinations, during the week beginning Monday 27th February 2023. This will be an opportunity for you to check and query any examination entries. All examination changes need to be made by Friday 10th March 2023 and any amendments after this date will incur a cost.

– GCSE Mathematics Examinations: Monday 14th & Wednesday 16th November 2022
– Internal Mock Examinations: Monday 28th November to Thursday 15th December 2022
– GCSE English Literature Examinations: Wednesday 11th January 2023
– GCSE Mathematics results: Thursday 12th January 2023
– Science Practical NEA: Monday 16th to Friday 20th January 2023
– Year 11 Revision Open Evening: Wednesday 1st March 2023
– GCSE English Literature results: Thursday 2nd March 2023 (awaiting confirmation)
– Year 11 Full Reports: w/c Monday 6th February 2023
– GCSE External Examinations: Monday 15th May to Tuesday 20th June 2023
