A group of Year 8 pupils from our school recently had the opportunity to visit the BBC Studios in Cardiff. During their visit, they got a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on during a busy working day at the BBC.

The pupils were able to tour around the offices and see how different teams work together to produce the BBC’s television and radio programs. They also visited the newsrooms, where they learned how news is broadcast into millions of people’s homes every day. They even managed to get into the video booth, where one lucky pupil, Caitlin, was able to present a small segment highlighting what the group had done during their visit.

The pupils had a great time on their visit and learned a lot about how the BBC works. They were impressed by the professionalism and dedication of the staff, and they were inspired by the opportunity to see how the BBC brings important news and entertainment to people all over the world.

We would like to thank Gower College Swansea for organising the visit and BBC Studios for supporting us.

We are very proud of our pupils for their participation in this enriching trip. It is an amazing opportunity for them to get a real-world glimpse into the world of broadcasting.
