Dear Parent/Carer,

Changes to uniform policy / Last week of term arrangements

We wish to notify parents and carers about modifications to our uniform policy in response to pupil and parent consultation ensuring that uniform is affordable and sustainable. The policy has been reviewed in line with the latest guidance from the Welsh Government. As part of these changes, our range of uniform suppliers has been expanded to include a local Gorseinon based Sew and Sew. Additionally, an excellent range of pre-loved uniform is available at a small cost (covering laundering expenses) in our school. For those interested in viewing or purchasing pre-loved uniform, please contact Matthew Evans, Deputy Resources Manager.

A decision has been made to permit school leggings on a trial basis. These leggings must be the ones available in our school PE range.  Additionally we are also offering iron-on-school badges at a small cost for parents/careers who wish to source plain white polo shirts.

On the last day of term lunch will be at the earlier time of 12.10 and in the afternoon, there will be an ice cream van on site for pupils to purchase refreshments at allocated times. Pupils will need to bring in money if they wish to purchase a refreshment.  Pupils will need to be in uniform for the last day of term.

I hope that you and your families can enjoy a well-deserved and relaxing summer break.

Yours sincerely,

Mr. Christopher Mitchell

Care, Support and Guidance Coordinator
