Update to Positive Behaviour Policy – Mobile Phones
Following consultation with staff and pupils we have adapted our Positive Behaviour Policy in relation to mobile phones. Mobile phones are still not permitted to be seen in school and must be turned off and in bags as soon as pupils arrive on site. Previously, if a phone was seen it would be taken to the office for parents to collect. In light of feedback, we have now adapted this and from Tuesday 6th June, in the first instance of a mobile phone being seen we will allow the pupil to collect the phone from the office at the end of the school day. If there is a second offence the phone will need to be collected by the parent. A third offence will require parent/carers to come in for a meeting with the relevant Progress Manager.

We appreciate your support with this matter, as we find prohibiting the use of mobile phones has many positive effects in the classroom and socially for our pupils. Please can you discuss this with your child at home so they are aware.
