BontSki Trip February Half Term 2019
After a year off we will be coming back bigger and better in 2019 when BontSki go back to the U.S.A. visiting the ski resort of White Face in New York. After 5 days skiing we will then have a 2 night city stopover in New York visiting all the sights and doing plenty of shopping in the city that never sleeps.
This time round the cost will be a bit higher at £1590 but you will have just under two years to pay for it and we have included just about everything into the price, so no extra fund raising and no need to take extra money off you on the trip.
Whiteface – Part of the Adirondack Mountains, this resort has hosted the Winter Olympics twice so it has plenty of runs to keep even the most experienced skier interested. It has an elevation of 1483 metres, also boasting the greatest vertical drop in the east. The mountain has 87 trails spread over 288 acres serviced by 16 lifts. We have been to this resort a number of times and we always have an excellent time.
Children will ski with instructors at all times based on their ability. They will receive 4 hours of ski lessons every day.
Fly from Heathrow to New York, have a meal on the plane as we cross the atlantic ocean.
After a transfer from the the airport and a Mcdonalds stop on the way up we will arrive at our 4 star hotel..
Today after an american breakfast it will be over to Whiteface ski resort to get kitted out for 5 days of skiing, pupils will receive 2 hours tuition in the morning and 2 hours after lunch.
After our evening meal in the hotel we will head back out to go to our first apres ski activity of Snow Tubing. Jump on a rubber ring and go hurtling down a section of one of the ski runs.
Another action packed day of skiing, this evening we will head out to our most exciting apres ski activity, we will head to the frozen Mirror Lake to go tobaganning. You will be fired out from an old ski jump over the lake.
After a day of skiing we will head out around the town of Lake Placid to get some souvenirs, some of the amazing flavoured popcorn or chill out and grab a Starbucks.
By now everyone should be getting the hang of all this skiing lark, after food in the hotel we will go out to play Broomball in the Olympic Arena. Broomball is a bit like ice hockey and is loads of fun.
Our final day on the slopes, we will cram in as much skiing as we can before we head back to the hotel for a quick change and then jump on the bus and travel down to New York City.
Today we will spend a full day seeing the sights of New York City, from Times Square to Broadway we will cram as much as we can in. We will take you up the tallest building in the city, the Freedom Tower to you can take the best photos possible. In the evening we will have a meal in a well known restaurant before either seeing the New York Knicks play Basketball if they are in town or we will see a west end show on broadway.
After breakfast at the hotel we will head to Jersey Gardens for a day of shopping. Jersey Gardens is a huge shopping mall filled with all the biggest names in fashion. As it is an outlet prices are cheaper and tax free. From there we will get back on the bus to the airport for our flight home
