Year 7 Topics
Module 1: C’est Parti! – Greetings, numbers, months and colours
Module 2: Famille et Copains – Family, pets, present tense and descriptions
Module 3 – Ma Journée – School subjects, opinions, the time, food and drink

Year 8 Topics
Module 4: Chez Moi et Ma Ville – Describing your home, your town and understanding directions
Module 5: On S’amuse – Sports, hobbies, musical instruments, holidays
Summer Term: Introduction to Spanish (Pupils then choose one language to continue with for for year 9)

Year 9 Topics
Module 1: Le Film et La Télé – TV programmes, film genres, film study Les Choristes
Module 2: Les Passes-Temps – Making plans, future tense, technology and social media
Module 3: GCSE Preparation – Self and relationships, cultural project L’Ile Maurice Challenge

GCSE French (Option Subject from year 10)
We cover 18 different topics under the three broad themes of: Identity and Culture, Wales and the World, Current and Future Study and Employment. You will be examined in the 4 key skills areas: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking (each worth 25% of your final grade).
