Dear Parent/Carer,

I am writing to thank you for your support in restoring our standard of uniform back to pre-pandemic levels, it has assisted in promoting positive attitudes and behaviour, high standards and a sense of personal pride.

If you have any issues with regards to providing the correct uniform, please contact the school to discuss how we can support you and your family. If your child is not in correct uniform, please can you contact the school to provide a reason.

Whilst the return of the sun has certainly been a welcome one, please be aware that pupils should only wear PE shorts during PE lessons and not at any other time of the day. In previous years when we have had extremely high temperatures in the summer months of June and July we have allowed pupils to wear PE uniform in place of regular uniform. However, this is a decision made by the school not by individual pupils. Failure to follow our uniform policy will result in a sanction.

Just a reminder pupils should not wear false fingernails to school. They are a hazard to themselves and others e.g. playing sports and physical exercise; practical work in design and technology or science.  In relation to jewellery only one pair of stud earrings is allowed to be worn in each ear lobe. No facial piercings (lip, nose, tongue) are permitted.

Thank you for your continued support in regard to the matter, please contact the school if you need any further assistance in relation to uniform.

Yours sincerely

Mr Christopher Mitchell
