Dear Parent/Carer,

Yesterday, we launched a fundraising appeal across Swansea schools in support of the crisis in Ukraine. The school community felt that we can help so we are delighted to work with other schools to maximise the monies raised.

After exhausting other fundraising channels, such as collections, we have learned the best route currently seems to be through raising monies that can then be sent to one of the charities serving families in the affected areas, supplying them with much-needed humanitarian aid. The money we raise will go directly to the British Red Cross Ukraine Appeal.

There are two ways you can give to our appeal, either by visiting the Swansea Schools Just Giving Page via the following link:

At Pontarddulais Comprehensive, and other schools in Swansea, will also be holding a non-school uniform day on Thursday in support of Ukraine. Pupils can wear something blue and yellow and donate £1 to the appeal. They can either physically bring in money or use the Just Giving link above.

Out target is to raise £10,000 between the Swansea schools. Can I thank you in advance for your generous donations; our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by this situation.

Yours faithfully,

Mr. G. Rees
Headteacher
