Dear Parent/Carer,
I write to inform you of the Year 10 mock examinations that are scheduled in the school calendar for this half term. The purpose of holding the mock examinations at the end of this half term is to prepare our Year 10 pupils for future examinations and to carry out formal assessments for their GCSE and vocational courses. The mock examinations will run from Monday 31st January to Thursday 17th February.
The attached mock examination timetable and controlled assessment dates will help you support your child over the forthcoming weeks. Please use the ‘Year 10 Information Pack’ which you would have received in September. Click here to access the Year 10 Information Pack.
The examination timetable attached is provisional. You will notice that most examinations run during lesson 2 and 3 each day, which ensures that examinations are not disrupted by morning break. However, if we revert back to our normal school day before the examinations start we would look to run all examinations before morning break during lesson 1 and 2. If anything changes before the examinations start we will notify you with the amended examination timetable at the earliest opportunity.
We will be holding the Year 10 parents’ evening on Monday 7th March this year. However, we are not able to hold the parents’ evening at school as we usually do. This year we will be holding a virtual parents’ evening on the date above and you will be able to book slots to speak directly to your child’s teachers during the course of the evening. Further details on the virtual parents’ evening and how it will work will be sent to parents and carers in advance.

– Internal Mock Examinations: 31st January to 17th February 2022
– Parents’ Evening: Monday 7th March 2022
– Progress Check 3 (Interim Reports): w/c Monday 4th April 2022
– Year 10 Full Reports: w/c 27th June 2022
– GCSE external examinations: 16th May to 29th June 2022
