Year 10 Isolation

28th June 2021.

Dear Parent/Carer,

During the year 10 isolation period the school will be supporting your child’s learning by reverting to blended learning accessing work through Teams and StudyZone. Online learning will start from Tuesday 29th June 2021.

To help support their learning each class teacher will be online via a class Team. It is our intention, where possible, to provide asynchronous and synchronous learning. It might not be possible to facilitate each lesson in the same way, therefore your child will need to visit their class Team to receive instruction from their teacher. Instructions on how to access their class Team can be found here.

Should your child have difficulty with any of the work, they will be able to use the ‘live chat’ facility within Microsoft Teams to discuss the issue with their teacher. Some teachers may choose to host live video conferencing lessons, we would ask that your child arrive to the class promptly to minimise disruption during the lesson.

To provide sufficient breaks between each lesson, we will revert to 50-minute online lessons. Your child’s form tutor will be online from 8.30 in the morning to pass on any important information for the day ahead.

If your child is unsure of their login credentials for either HWB or StudyZone, or if you would like to borrow a Chromebook please contact the school.

We wish to thank you for your patience and continued support during this unprecedented time.

Yours faithfully,

Mr. D Lewis
Curriculum Coordinator
