Wednesday 17th June 2020
As outlined in today’s letter from the Headteacher, all pupils will have the opportunity to attend school during the last four weeks of the summer term. Three form classes will attend school each day and all form classes will be split into smaller groups to achieve social distancing. Each group will be allocated a base room for the day and most groups will stay in their base room for the whole day. For some lessons pupils in Year 9 and 10 will rotate to a different room to have contact time with their teachers from their option subjects.
The timetable attached to this letter outlines the curriculum plan for the first two weeks of the re-opening of the school (Monday 29th June to Friday 10th July). All pupils will have the opportunity to ‘check in and catch up’ with teachers at least once
during the first two weeks. During the final two weeks of term we may be looking to increase the capacity of the number of pupils attending school each day if we are able to do so safely.
Each form class will start and finish school at different times each day and each form class will enter the school at different entrance points. The staggered start time, finish time and break time will ensure that we are able to maintain social distancing during the busiest times of the day. Please ensure that your child brings to school the correct books and equipment for the subjects outlined in the timetable below. Where Creative Arts is on the timetable, pupils should bring in PE kit. However, we are awaiting further guidance from Welsh Government for confirmation of what physical activities can take place in school.
The timetable for week 3 and 4 will be sent out to parents/carers as soon as possible. If you have any queries regarding the timetable, please contact the school on 01792 884556 or email email@example.com.
We wish to thank you for your patience and for continuing to support the education of your child during this unprecedented time.
Mr. A. Owens
