Year 10 – Home Learning

Year 10 – Home Learning

13th May 2020

Dear Parent/Carer,

As you are aware, the school is currently closed to pupils due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Under normal circumstances we would be changing the school timetable in June and Year 10 pupils would move on to Year 11 work. With the uncertainty of when pupils will be returning to school it is vital that the Year 10 pupils continue to work from home to ensure that they learn new topics that they will be assessed on in summer 2021.

We will be hand delivering learning packs to all Year 10 pupils next week. The learning packs will include hard copies of booklets, learning materials and exercise books that will be needed for pupils to complete certain tasks for some subjects. The packs have been produced to supplement the learning resources that are available on our school website through ‘Study Zone’. All new resources including weekly lessons will be uploaded to this area each week. Pupils must log on to ‘Study Zone’ each week to complete and submit work to their teacher through the online platform. Feedback to pupils will be provided in a number of different ways: direct comments from the teacher on ‘Study Zone’; comments from the teacher through the HWB email system; or through online quizzes and assessments. All learning materials can be accessed using this link:
If your child has forgotten their log in details or if they are having difficulty accessing the online work, please contact the school for support.

We will continue to update resources on the school website each week and the weekly updates for pupils, parents and carers will be communicated through the usual channels. Please keep checking the school website and Twitter for our regular news updates.

We wish to thank you for your patience and continued support during this unprecedented time.

Yours sincerely,

Mr. A. Owens
Deputy Headteacher
